The Kia camshaft position sensor sends vital signals to your vehicle’s engine management. If it fails completely, you won’t be able to start the engine. As the name suggests, it detects the camshaft position and sends this signal data to the computer module, which then calculates the correct timing of fuel intake and combustion. You will have to replace your Kia camshaft position sensor if it fails. Kia mass air flow sensors, or MAF sensors, determine the mass air flow rate entering the engine. If you suspect a faulty sensor, it may just need cleaning with an approved cleaner. If your vehicle constantly runs too rich or too lean, you can suspect the Kia mass air flow sensors. In this case, a replacement may be necessary. Your Kia wheel speed sensor, more commonly known as ABS sensor, relays the wheel speed to the ABS system, which then calculates the maximum amount of brake pressure possible without the wheels locking up during emergency braking. If your vehicle’s ABS stops functioning as it should, you can suspect a faulty Kia ABS sensor. If left unattended, your vehicle stopping distance will be severely hampered, especially in wet road conditions. Your Kia crankshaft position sensor monitors and transmits the speed and position of the crankshaft, as well as other parameters which play an important role when starting the engine. A malfunctioning Kia ckp sensor will either cause intermittent starting issues, or your vehicle may not start at all. You will need to check or have it checked and replaced if diagnosed as being the problem.
