Top Brake Drum Brands
A drum brake is a brake in which the brake pads are on the inside and pressed in a braking operation on the cylindrical surface. The force on the expansion lever and / or the brake cylinder is transmitted by cable, linkage, fluid or compressed air. Currently drum brakes were in nearly every motor vehicle replaced by expanding brakes. A major advantage to a drum brake are the major service intervals. Due to the closed system the brake is less vulnerable to corrosive influences and grime.
